I haven’t posted in a while. I have bit of a backlog of creations to show. I decided this year I wanted to get back into embroidery, it truly is my happy place. I will start with this one which I have been holding off until it was given to my Daughter in Law. It is a special crazy patchwork bear I made for her as a remembrance of her baby she lost at 17 weeks in 2020. There is lots of embroidery on her. I loved doing this little girl, she has many different stitches and techniques of embroidery including some ribbon work, button clusters and beading.
I have been following along on a website called Take a Stitch Tuesday where Sharron Boggon posts a new stitch to try each week and an advanced version for more experienced stitchers. Although I have been embroidering for as long as I can remember it is really helpful to revisit stitches and techniques and see a wealth of ideas and inspirations from other stitchers on the associated Facebook page. I have followed Sharon for quite a long time but this is the first time I have taken the plunge and followed along with the challenge.
